Description :

The Jetavana Stupa and monastery complex built in 3rd century AD covers an area of 300 acres and had 3000 monks in residence. At the collapse of the Roman Empire the Stupa stood tall (120m) and was the 3rd tallest structure in the world, next to the great pyramids of Gizeh. Today all that is left of these testaments to the accomplishments of our ancestors is crumbling brick walls. A Day in a Llife of the Jetavana Monastery brings to life an era gone by – in factual detail – archeologically, culturally and historically.
