SMS News is a grassroots initiative which uses Information and Communication Technologies to empower rural communities and help improve their daily lives. The project empowers farmers by giving insights to the behavior of market prices, as well information on new seeds varieties and fertilizers, enabling them to make informed decisions. Information of general interest to the community at large is also disseminated through this project - employment opportunities, vocational education courses and tips for good health & nutrition etc.
